Local business is a gold mine if you offer them something of value. I do. Mortgages and I have a few businesses. I am the "preferred lender". I do quarterly meetups at the business and monthly newsletter emails. Mine was easy, I was in construction so I just started calling all our suppliers HR asking if I could come by once a month and send emails. I have a value add to customers and employees and it's a great way to educate 1099 contractors on purchase options.

Local business is a great option. But know the value you add and pitch yourself as another perk to their employees.
