We are located in historic downtown Terrell in the old Iris Movie Theatre building, built in 1925. We are mostly used books, and we take gently used books in trade. We have almost 100,000 books in stock in all genres, and 2 bookstore kitties that have a BIG fan club!! We share our building with Silhouette Consignment Boutique (an upscale ladies consignment shop) and a smaller version of The Iris Theatre. In the Iris, we show classic movies and perform live theatre. Our goal is to provide a quaint place of peace in a busy world and to help our customers with their reading choices.

Hotel Tips
Avoid booking poolside for kids playing during the day and gatherings at night. Sound bounces off of the water and voices carry so ask for a room away from the pool either on the opposite side of the hotel or in higher floors.
Bring an actual credit card to avoid deposits and pre-authorizations consuming money in your checking account which will reduce your available balance. Hotels that accept paper cash often ask for a hefty deposit to cover potential damages in your room leaving you scrambling to find an ATM.
Always find a reason to email the front desk manager in hotels that you plan to visit again. Tell them what they did right and express your plans to stay again and ask what opportunities there might be for frequent discounts or upgrades on your next visits. If you become friends with the manager, you just might get the friends and family rate some day.

I love walking through downtown when the sun finally comes out. You can get a great organic meal at one place, yummy sushi nearby, and awesome beer. Not to mention the Criterion has fabulous shows.
