Hotel Tips

Ask to be placed opposite of any roadways. Road noise can be a constant source of pollution which may not be a noticeable problem during the day but reveals itself at night. Don't be afraid to request a room change to get a better sleep.

Always announce during booking if the trip is for a special event, anniversary or reunion. Group rates can be pre-negotiated and you may qualify for a lower cost and better upgrades for your stay. If you are the one setting up the event, always work directly with the front desk manager to make sure the best service is offered to your party.

Always tip staff when you feel the service was great and don't forget the housekeeping staff which you may never see. You should tip every day if you are staying multiple days as the staff may rotate out and miss the bounty at the end.

Things To Do

Monterey has the perfect game shop for both young and old. Your friends and family will enjoy hours of entertainment with a wide selection of board games, card games and games of skill. A perfect stop for travellers with kids and those seeking a new adventure for game night.

Monterey can warm you up on a cloudy day or simply offer your daily perk by visiting your local coffee shop. Quality, purity and punch are targeted with coffee beans curated globally and locally roasted while being served fresh as it is made right in front of you. Order up!

Monterey is the place to buy jewelry offered by downtown merchants with a wide variety of lovely earrings, necklaces, bracelets and of course diamond rings. You are sure to find the top artisan brands and jewelry maker that brings a special touch to each piece offered.

Why Do You Love Downtown?

Kim Knox

All the quaint shops, I like to support small business.

Tracy Hart

Just purchased a home nearby and am looking forward to shopping in the area

Michelle Kleyne

Great vibe

Bob Puthoff

I'm sending some clients there this Summer and want to get them a discount card to shop. Thanks!

Daniel E Swanson

The Downtown area stores are friendlier and have comparable pricing as the bigger stores. The only problem is parking and the distance you may have to walk to do your shopping.
