Hotel Tips
Policies vary on the availability of pet friendly rooms to it is wise to be open, honest and upfront during the booking process. You may find yourself kicked out or even paying a large deposit if you are not in a pet-friendly hotel and bring one anyway. New ADA laws are fuzzy though as service animals are not required to be documented and proprietors are legally not allowed to ask if the animal is a pet vs. a service animal.
Other sources of noise can be opening and closing trash dumpsters and also during collection by garbage trucks. Another great question is if they have any renovation plans, or underway that could affect your ability to relax. Pack earplugs and eyeshades!
Always find a reason to email the front desk manager in hotels that you plan to visit again. Tell them what they did right and express your plans to stay again and ask what opportunities there might be for frequent discounts or upgrades on your next visits. If you become friends with the manager, you just might get the friends and family rate some day.
Things To Do
Bellevue has so many great reasons to shop downtown as local merchants have come together to offer a wide selection of artisan gifts and foods that you are sure to find something for everyone on your shopping list of gifts. Shopping options are plentiful and all inventory is hand selected by the shop owner and then yourself so you are sure to find something special that has your style and likes in mind.
Bellevue visitors are always welcome and you will receive exceptional service from local merchant-owners as opposed to staff at the big box retailers. We take the extra time to make sure that you how to make best use of your purchase and that you get exactly what you need.
Bellevue is a great place to rent a bike and take it for a ride around downtown. There are many bike shops that sell bike and accessories as well as provide service and tuning on your ride. Don't forget your helmet and other protective gear such as reflective gear, headlight and horn.
Why Do You Love Downtown?
Tammy Cooper
Downtowns are so cute and has a very relaxed inviting vibe that puts a smile on my face. In addition, downtown was so clean. It was fun visiting the unique shops and boutiques and everyone was very friendly. Our stroll around Lithia Park was beautiful and so peaceful. It truly is a gem. Lastly, we ate at 4 or 5 different restaurants that had great food and great service.
